HEAD COACH - MIKE ZANGL

Coach Zangl, now in his 2nd season as Head Coach and 10th overall with Tesoro, is a former Titan athlete and accomplished strength and conditioning expert. With extensive coaching, education, and certifications, he is dedicated to developing athletes while continuing Tesoro’s tradition of excellence on and off the field.
Offensive Coordinator - ROB ADAMS

Coach Rob Adams, entering his 9th year with Tesoro and 20th overall, serves as Offensive Coordinator with extensive experience coaching quarterbacks across the South Coast League. Living in Ladera Ranch with his wife and three children, he also runs The Actors Workshop alongside his passion for football.
OFFENSIVE LINE - ERNIE BUCHER

Coach Bucher, now in his 29th season and sixth at Tesoro, previously led Capistrano Valley HS to multiple championships and a 52-21 record as head coach. He also serves as Tesoro’s Athletic Director and is dedicated to both football and family life.

Coach Bobby Hughes brings 24 years of high school football and 31 years of youth sports coaching, with experience at Downey, Dana Hills, and Tesoro HS. Passionate about family, rugby, and mentoring, he teaches players discipline and resilience while embracing a simple, active life in Nellie Gail.

Coach Rick Pizzuti, now in his 2nd season at Tesoro, previously spent 28 years coaching Pop Warner football, earning multiple championships and a 2017 Coach of the Year honor. Living in Rancho Santa Margarita with his wife Jill, he’s proud of his three Tesoro alumni children and now coaches the next generation, including his grandson.

Former standout Wide Receiver with pro tryout experience, now Varsity WR Coach at Tesoro, bringing specialized training, leadership, and player development. Outside coaching, he works as an Operations Manager and enjoys family time, fitness, and golf.

Coach Casey Quinn, with over 25 years in education and athletics, combines teaching and coaching expertise to promote lifelong wellness, character, and student success. Holding advanced degrees and extensive experience, he builds strong team cultures while preparing athletes for competition and life beyond sports.

Coach Ricci, now in his third season at Tesoro, serves as Defensive Line and Speed Coach with six years of high school coaching experience at Capo Valley and Laguna Beach. Inspired by his father, he is dedicated to developing players’ skills, discipline, and character while building lasting relationships.

Coach Jenkins, JV Assistant Defensive Coach, brings extensive playing experience as a linebacker and safety along with a strong academic background. Passionate about the game, he stays connected through coaching while enjoying hiking and time with his dog.
